BARRAGAN MONTERREZ SHOWDOGS

2009 has continued on where 2008 left off for us. Once again our dogs have done us proud.

We are proud to announce that we are ;

We welcomed another 6 CHAMPIONS  and 3 GRAND CHAMPIONS to the Barragan & Monterrez families.

They are as follows;

 Pointer

AUST CH BARRAGAN MEET THE PARENTS, Maureen is the 23rd Australian Champion  Pointer to be owned or bred by us.

Cairn Terrier

AUST GRAND CH TOWSYTYKE THISIZIT, Izzy made his title up in style winning multiple best in groups along the way.

Schipperke

AUST CH MONTERREZ KINELL, Keith gained his title within a week of turning 1 year old, he is our 6th Australian Champion Schipperke.

AUST CH MONTERREZ LAZY SUSAN, Laura also gained her title within a week of turning 1 year old and became our 7th Australian Champion

IRISH CH MONTERREZ GUARDIAN, Alfie is our 2nd Irish Champion Schipperke. He is owned by Tracey & Dave Holmes in the UK.

UK CH MONTERREZ JINGLE BELLE FOR HANTREVED becomes our 8th UK Champion Schipperke. She is owned by Hannah & Kath Percival.

UK & IRISH CH MONTERREZ GUARDIAN, Alfie becomes our 2nd UK Schipperke to gain his title in a week. He is our 9th UK Champion Schipperke.

AUST GRAND CH BISS MONTERREZ HOME ALONE (IMP UK), Monty is our first Aust Grand Champion Schipperke. He is owned  by Rae Bryce.

AUST GRAND BISS MBIS CH MONTERREZ KINELL, Keith at 20mths is Australias youngest Grand Champion Schipperke ever.

SHOW WINS for the Year

Our dogs once again did us proud in the showring. Undoubtly our star this year was our Schipperke Keith. This young dog lives for showing and has never ceased to amaze us with his amazing wins. This year alone has seen Keith win Best in Show at the Schipperke Club of NSW. He followed this with 2 All Breeds Best in Shows and 2 Runner Up Best in Shows. He also won an amazing 14 Best in Groups and 10 Runner Up Best In Groups as well as numerous Class in Shows and Groups.

Other Best in Group winners were our Cairn Terriers; Aust Gd Ch Towsytyke Thisizit and Aust Ch Birselaw Just A Moment(Imp UK). Other Best in group winners for their owners were; The Pointer Barragan Sister Sledge and the Schipperkes Aust Gd Ch SBIS Monterrez Home Alone(imp UK) and Irish & UK Ch Monterrez Gaurdian.

Other dogs who won for us this year inlude; Our Rottweiler Aust Ch MBIS Monterrez One Step Closer(imp UK), the Pointers Aust Ch Tintookie White Xmas and Barragan Sister Act and the Schipperke Aust Ch Monterrez Lazy Susan.

This year we bred minimal litters with only 1 Cairn Terrier and 1 Pointer litter being bred. Along with our partners Ian and Ros Keech we imported the Cairn Terrier, Birselaw Make My Day from Yvonne Catto. It is hoped Micky will strengthen our breeding program.

Judging saw Graham officiate both here in Australia and in the UK.
