Cairns have now been part of the kennels for 5 years. Our aim is to breed correct type & size Cairns. We were fortunate to aquire the amazing show dog Aust GD Ch Towsytyke Thisizit (Aust Ch Rosecroft Duncan Maximus imp USA x Towsytyke Turnback Thclock) from Val Palmer as our foundation dog. Izzy has been a great start in the breed. He is an all breeds runner up in show, multi best in group and multi runner up best in group, multi class in show & group and a Royal best of breed winner. Izzy is now semi retired to make way for our young dogs.

Along with his daughter Aust Ch Barragan Delilah (ex Aust Ch Towsytyke Ellefor Licorice) we are off to a flying start in the breed. Dee hit the ground running in 2007 winning a huge all breeds sweepstakes class at her first show at just 3 month of age. She has not looked back and has gained her title with ease over much older competition, even beating her father for best of breed at the 2007 Spring Fair. 

2007 saw the Cairns shown sparingly owing to judging committments in the UK. But even so Izzy still managed 3 best in groups. We attended the centenary show of the British Terrier Club of NSW and came home with Dog and Bitch Challenge, Best of Breed, Puppy in Show and Consolation to Runner up in Show.

 During our trip to the UK in 2007 we visited the world famous Birselaw Kennels owned by Yvonne Catto in Scotland. We were shown the entire kennel of dogs and allowed to go over them. One young 9mth old pup caught our eye, Birselaw Just A Moment. She was by the multi titled Birsleaw Billy Fury and a younger sister to the multi titled Biselaw Emma. We enquired about buying her but were told she was not for sale at that stage but if she became available we would have first offer on her. After many months of negotiating Yvonne finnally agreed to part with her beloved Breeze in Febuary 2008. Breeze is owned in partnership with Ian & Ros. Breeze has gained her Australian title with ease and is now a Best in Group, Runner up Best in Group and Multi class in group winner.

Our newest addition to the Cairns is Birselaw Make My Day(imp UK). Micky is just out of quarantine and after time to acclimatise and grow coat he will  shown and used at stud over our girls.

Our other young dog is Monterrez Billabong (ex Birselaw Moment In Time x Barragan Edith).

Both Billy and Micky will be shown alongside each other and will hopefully enjoy the same success as Izzy has had.
